McKellar | Issue 7
In the spring of 2023, with the golf world mired in the intrigues of LIV Golf’s entry on the scene, McKellar arrived with another fantastic issue. A magazine with long lead times is disadvantaged when it comes to rapidly evolving stories, but Robert Lusetich managed to add something original to the conversation with his beautifully reported piece on how the roots of the rebel tour could be found in (of all places) 1970s Australian cricket. Elsewhere in the feature well, Lawrence Donegan visited with the yoga-obsessed, motorcycle-riding golf pro trying to save a once-famous course from the encroaching Hawaiian jungle. Chicago radiologist Stephen Zivin told the unbelievable World War II story of Royal Hague Golf Club and its Jewish founding family. Photographer Murdo MacLeod filed a portfolio from North Berwick that shows the much-loved golf town from a different angle.
Every issue of McKellar is 96 pages of pure editorial, printed on high-quality stock to ensure a product that a reader can enjoy for years to come. Its editors look forward to offering readers a new batch of the finest golf tales in mid-2024…
